It is an automatic valve and does not need to be operated manually.  Wafer dual plate check valves are widely used in petroleum, chemical, water supply, irrigation and water treatment pipelines to prevent backflow of media and protect pumps and motors.

     Wafer dual plate check valve working principle: When fluid begins to flow, the valve plates open under fluid pressure acting in the center of the sealing surface. When the flow rate slows down, the automatic reaction force of the spring causes the valve to close and move closer to the valve seat, reducing the distance and time of the closing stroke. When the fluid backflow, the plates gradually close to the valve seat, the dynamic response of the valve is then greatly accelerated, reducing the impact of the water hammer phenomenon, so as to achieve non-impact closure.

     When closing, the action of the spring force point of action makes the top of the valve plates to close first, preventing the root of the valve plates bite phenomenon, so that the valve can maintain a longer period of time of the integrity of the seal.

    This valve meets the standard of API 594, for most diameters, the face-to-face size of this valve is only 1/4 of the conventional valve, the weight is 15% to 20% of the conventional valve. Compared to conventional swing check valves, Wafer dual plate check valve construction is usually stronger, lighter, smaller, more efficient and cheaper. Since it is easy to carry and handle and requires only one set of flange attachment bolts, some parts are also saved during installation, saving installation and routine maintenance costs.
