Design of Double Eccentric Metal Sealed Ball Valve

一、Overview

Ball valve with compact structure, large circulation area, straight-through, no obstruction in the middle, small flow resistance and rapid opening and closing advantages, widely used in piping systems, is currently one of the commonly used valves in the industry, but ordinary ball valve non-metallic seat material so that the operating temperature is limited, generally does not exceed 150 ℃. In addition, the ball valve opening and closing rotation torque is large, heavy operation, sealing vice wear and tear faster, cannot be automatically compensated, easy to cause leakage, reducing the service life. The new double eccentric metal sealed ball valve solves the problems of ordinary ball valves.

二、Double eccentric metal sealed ball valve working principle

Double eccentric metal sealed ball valve consists of valve body, valve seat, valve stem, double eccentric ball and connecting flange and other components. The geometry of the ball is symmetric double eccentric spherical. The ball and its corresponding seat form a wedge structure. When the valve is open, the sphere rotates counterclockwise, the sealing surface of the sphere is detached from the seat and does not contact with each other, which reduces friction. When the valve is closed, the sphere rotates clockwise, applying the principle of circular eccentric wedging, each sphere is wedged with its corresponding seat to form a wedge state, to achieve the sealing pressure required by the wedge.

三、Performance

(1) In the process of valve opening, the ball can quickly detach from the valve seat, realizing the ball and the valve seat to rotate in the non-contact situation, opening quickly, saving energy, small operating torque, small friction, reducing the wear and tear of the sealing vice, and long service life.

(2) The sealing vice is heat-treated, with high surface hardness, wear-resistant, high temperature-resistant and erosion-resistant.

(3) The wedge working pair can scrape off the sediment and scale on the sealing surface, and can exclude the foreign matter in the fluid.

(4) There is no direction restriction when the valve is installed, good sealing performance, safety and reliability, and automatic compensation function after wear.
