The piston-type flow control valve offers excellent flow and pressure control characteristics, high control accuracy, and good dynamic anti-vibration performance, whilst effectively preventing cavitation damage. It is suitable for use in pressure piping systems where safe pressure reduction or precise flow control is required, and can automatically regulate the water inflow according to system requirements.

 

The piston-type flow control valve is a fully functional flow control valve developed by our company in response to customer requirements. It offers excellent flow and pressure control characteristics, high control accuracy, and good dynamic anti-vibration performance, whilst effectively preventing cavitation damage. It is suitable for use in pressure piping systems where safe pressure reduction or precise flow control is required, and can automatically regulate the water inflow according to system requirements.

Design Features:

1.The valve flow path features a geometrically streamlined design, which effectively prevents cavitation damage whilst also acting as a self-damping mechanism.

2.The regulating telescopic cylinder is constructed from cavitation-resistant stainless steel. The sealing rings exhibit minimal wear, do not invert, provide excellent sealing performance and have a long service life.

3.The valve shaft bearings utilise self-lubricating bearings. These oil-free, self-lubricating bearings feature a low coefficient of friction, high wear resistance and a long service life.

4.Internal and external water pressures are self-balancing, ensuring the valve operates smoothly, stably and reliably. Water hammer is virtually eliminated when the valve closes.

5.The main seal employs an adjustable hard rubber-to-stainless steel sealing structure. The required sealing pressure can be adjusted via a screw, making adjustment convenient. Furthermore, the rubber seal can be inspected or replaced without dismantling the valve body.

6.The annular flow cross-section at any position within the valve ensures linear control characteristics. With high control accuracy and excellent dynamic anti-vibration performance, the valve maintains stable operation over the long term even under significant fluctuations in flow velocity and pressure.

7.Depending on the specific site conditions (primarily referring to various pressure differentials and the content of silt and impurities in the medium), a choice of designs—including annular, slotted and perforated—is available. These effectively resolve cavitation issues, ensuring a long service life and minimal vibration.

Principle of operation:

The piston-type flow control valve consists primarily of a valve body, valve shaft, piston, crank-connecting rod mechanism and drive unit. During operation, the drive unit rotates the valve shaft; the internal crank-connecting rod mechanism converts the rotational motion of the drive shaft into axial displacement of the piston, thereby opening or closing the flow control valve.
