一、 Definition and characteristics of diaphragm valve

Diaphragm valve is a special kind of valve, its opening and closing parts are elastic diaphragm. Diaphragm valves use the movement of the diaphragm to control the fluid on and off, with no leakage, fast response, low operating torque and so on. Diaphragm valve is especially suitable for the need to prevent media contamination or the need for rapid opening and closing occasions.

二、The classification and structure of the diaphragm valve

Diaphragm valves can be divided into: roof type, direct-flow type, cut-off type, straight-through type, weir type, right-angle type and so on according to the structure; according to the driving method can be divided into: manual, electric, pneumatic and so on. Diaphragm valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve cover, diaphragm, valve seat, valve stem and other components.

三、The diaphragm valve working principle

Diaphragm valves operate on the principle that the flow of fluid is controlled primarily by the movement of a diaphragm. A diaphragm valve consists of a resilient diaphragm and a compression member that actuates the movement of the diaphragm. When the valve is closed, the diaphragm forms a seal between the valve body and bonnet, preventing the passage of fluid. When the valve is open, the force provided by the operating mechanism causes the compression member to rise, thereby causing the diaphragm to rise from the valve body and the fluid to begin to flow. By adjusting the force supplied by the operating mechanism, the opening of the valve can be controlled, thus controlling the flow of fluid.

四、The application of diaphragm valve

Diaphragm valves are widely used in food, pharmaceutical, environmental protection, chemical and other industries, especially in the need to prevent media contamination and rapid opening and closing occasions, such as sewage treatment, food processing and so on.
