What should be paid attention to regularly lubricating the motor of the electric ball valve?

Regularly lubricate the motor of the electric ball valve is to ensure the normal operation of the motor, to extend its service life of the important maintenance work, the following are specific precautions:

1、Preparation before lubrication

Confirmation of lubricant type: Different types and specifications of electric ball valve motors have different requirements for lubricants, and it is necessary to strictly follow the instruction manual or technical specifications provided by the motor manufacturer to select the lubricant of the appropriate type, specification and performance. The use of mismatched lubricants may affect the performance of the motor, or even damage the motor.

Check the status of the motor: before adding lubricating oil, make sure the motor is in a stopped state and has been cut off the power supply to prevent the danger of electric shock. Carefully check the appearance of the motor for damage, cracks, deformation, etc. If any problem is found, it should be repaired or the relevant parts should be replaced first. At the same time, check whether the vents of the motor are free, so as not to affect the heat dissipation.

Cleaning: Use a clean cloth or brush to remove dust, oil and debris from the motor casing, oil filler holes and the surrounding area to prevent these impurities from entering the motor interior when lubricant is added and causing wear or malfunction to the motor.

2、Lubrication procedure

Control the amount of refueling: strictly in accordance with the lubricating oil additive amount specified in the motor manual for operation, too much or too little lubricating oil will have adverse effects on the motor. Too much refueling may lead to increased motor temperature, operating resistance, and even cause lubricant leakage; too little refueling can not provide sufficient lubrication, accelerating the wear and tear of motor parts.

Add lubricant slowly: Inject lubricant slowly and evenly into the filler hole to avoid splashing or bubbling the lubricant if injected too quickly. Specialized oiling tools, such as a grease gun or dropper, can be used to ensure the accuracy and stability of the oiling. During the refueling process, pay attention to the flow of the lubricant to ensure that it enters the lubricated parts inside the motor smoothly.

Prevent impurities from mixing: When adding lubricant, make sure the lubricant container is clean to avoid water, dust, metal particles and other impurities from mixing into the lubricant. If the lubricant has been contaminated, it should be replaced with new lubricant in time.

3、Checking and recording after lubrication

Check the operation of the motor: after adding lubricating oil, reconnect the power supply, start the motor, and observe the operation status of the motor. Listen to the motor running sound is normal, there is no abnormal vibration or noise; check whether the temperature of the motor is within the normal range, if found abnormal should immediately stop the motor running, for further inspection and processing.

Seal the oil filler hole: Use a suitable seal to seal the oil filler hole to prevent lubricant leakage and dust, moisture, etc. from entering the motor interior. Ensure that the seals are firmly and tightly mounted and are not loose or damaged.

Record maintenance information: Detailed records of the time of adding lubricant, the type of lubricant and the amount of lubricant added, and other information, so as to follow up on the maintenance of the motor and formulate the next maintenance plan. These records are important for timely detection of potential motor problems and to ensure the long-term stable operation of the motor.
