An ethylene propylene rubber lined valve plate usually refers to a component that is lined with ethylene propylene rubber (EPDM) on the surface of the valve plate. Ethylene propylene rubber has excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance and aging resistance. Its use temperature range is generally between -40 ℃ and 120 ℃; in terms of pressure, ethylene propylene rubber lined valve plate is usually up to 1.0 to 1.6 MP. Because of its characteristics, ethylene propylene rubber lined valve plate in the working temperature and pressure moderate in many fields have been applied.

一、Lined with ethylene propylene rubber valve plate features include: 

1、Good corrosion resistance: can be used in addition to strong oxidants (such as nitric acid, chromic acid, concentrated sulfuric acid and hydrogen peroxide, etc.) and some organic solvents in addition to a wide range of media, such as air, water, sewage, vapour, gas, oil, weak acid and alkali solutions.

2、Better heat resistance: can maintain stable performance within a certain temperature range.

3、Strong aging resistance: prolongs the service life of the valve plate.

4、Reliable sealing performance: when the valve plate is closed, the elastic deformation of ethylene propylene rubber can form a good sealing specific pressure to ensure the sealing of the valve.

5、Softer texture: can reduce the impact on the piping system, the operation is relatively labour-saving.

二、In the use of ethylene propylene rubber lined valve plate, need to pay attention to the following points: 

1、According to the specified pressure, temperature and media range.

2、To prevent temperature changes produce excessive pipeline stress, can be added before and after the valve U-shaped expansion joints. - Avoid the use of levers and other tools to force the switch valve, in order to prevent damage to the rubber sealing surface.

3、Pay attention to observe the valve opening and closing position and limit devices to ensure that the opening and closing in place.

4、For the medium is unstable and easy to decompose, should take measures to eliminate or limit the relevant factors, and choose the valve with automatic pressure relief device.

5、For toxic, flammable, explosive and other hazardous media pipeline valve plate, it is strictly prohibited to replace the packing under pressure.

三、Lined with ethylene propylene rubber valve plate has a wide range of applications in the following fields due to its characteristics: 

1、Urban water supply and drainage system: used to control the flow of water and truncation, able to adapt to different water quality and water temperature changes.

2、HVAC system: play a role in the transmission and control of hot water and steam, to ensure the stable operation of the system.

3、Chemical industry: handling some non-strong corrosive chemical liquids and gases, such as weak acid and alkali solutions.

4、Oil and gas industry: it can be used in the transmission pipeline of oil products and the control of some non-corrosive gases.

5、Food and beverage industry: can contact with food-grade media, such as beverages, milk, juice, etc., and will not cause pollution to it.
